A slapstick comedy with an unfunny side of burnt wives.
Patience and guest host Adrian discuss Australian politics, and read Alma 14-15. Recorded
21st March 2026.
Discussions:
Gigi's progress watching the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. It's so boring, she's not
getting very far.
New hate-speech law in Queensland that doesn't seem well thought out.
How gun control in Australia got started after the Port Arthur massacre.
The new gun buy-back scheme initiated by the Federal Government in response to the more
recent Bondi massacre.
Highlights from Alma 14-15:
Smitty can't work out which characters in his story should be: burned alive, stoned
(but not killed), crushed by a collapsing prison, or slapped on the cheek.
Alma 14:29 contains a weird simile, so unnaturally hammered into place, that the next
phrase re-explains it. "as a goat fleeth with her young from two lions". WTF?
Zeezrom suffers a bout of extreme anxiety, yet the townsfolk are astonished when he
leaps to his feet.
